Unemployment rates have dropped in 115 Kentucky counties since February last year.
Kentucky Office of Employment and Training said in a release this February’s unadjusted state unemployment rate 5.5%.
In far west Kentucky, counties experienced an overall drop in unemployment rates. Livingston and Ballard counties continued to have the highest rate, while Calloway County had the lowest. Hickman County experienced a slight increase and McLean County’s rate remained unchanged.
Magoffin County had the highest jobless rate in the commonwealth at 20.8%. The lowest was in Woodford County at 3.5%.
