Two women from far western Kentucky are now serving on state boards. Governor Matt Bevin appointed more than 10 people Friday.

Elizabeth Griffin McCoy of Hopkinsville joins the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Center for the Arts. McCoy is President/CEO of Planters Bank. Her term expires in April 2020.

Tamara Allyson Parker of Hickman joins the Kentucky Early Childhood Advisory Council. Parker is Director of Special Education and Preschool on the Fulton County Board of Education. Parker represents the private sector in District 1. Her term expires June 2018.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
