Paducah, KY – Paducah school officials want to build a new middle school and have narrowed their choices down to two different sites. The school will either be built in the Forest Hills subdivision near Lourdes Hospital or behind the existing school on Lone Oak Road. City Commissioners introduced an ordinance yesterday that will give the school system nearly 5 acres at the Forest Hills site, which connects to about 15 acres the school system already owns. The school board has still not ruled out renovating the current middle school, if state legislators fail to allocate money for construction.
