Paducah, KY – A McCracken County man and his stepfather were arrested on a host of drug charges Friday at their Oaks Road homes. 34-year-old Jason Grissom and his stepfather, 47-year-old James Kingston, were arrested after sheriff's deputies found five marijuana plants with growing equipment in Grissom's garage and a meth lab in a trailer behind Kingston's home. The Paducah Sun reports Kingston tried to swallow a bag of meth as deputies approached him.
The trailer was also found to contain a stock of the explosive substance, sodium azide, which is commonly used to deploy airbags. Many neighboring residents were evacuated while the explosives were removed.
