Hopkinsville, KY – Two elementary schools in Christian County are the latest to close temporarily due to flu absences. Sinking Fork Elementary School is closed today and tomorrow, while Indian Hills Elementary is closed for the rest of the week. District spokesperson Regan Honeycutt says over thirty percent of students at both schools stayed home sick today. Honeycutt says teachers at Sinking Fork will call parents on Wednesday afternoon to assess student health. If many are still ill, the school may suspend classes until Monday of next week.
