Two Candidates Running for Foust's 42nd Circuit Judicial Seat

Two local attorneys have announced their candidacies for the 42nd circuit judicial seat as Judge Dennis Foust steps down after 18 years in the post.  

Jamie Jameson, a public advocate in Murray and Marshall County Attorney Jeff Edwards announced their candidacies via press release this morning.  

Foust remains in office until July 15 and he says he doesn’t expect an interim judge to be appointed in the short time between then and the November 3rd special election.

The 42nd district covers Calloway and Marshall Counties.  

Rob Canning is a native of Murray, KY, a 2015 TV Production grad of Murray State. At MSU, he served as team captain of the Murray State Rowing Club. Rob's goal is to become a screenwriter, film director or producer and looks to the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie for inspiration. He appreciates good music, mainly favoring British rock n' roll, and approves of anything with Jack White's name on it. When not studying, rowing or writing, Rob enjoys spending his free time with a book or guitar.
