TN General Assembly Launches web site
By Carrie Pond
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee General Assembly is launching an overhauled Web site that officials say will make it easier to track bills and to watch video about specific legislative measures. The Legislature spent $52,000 to upgrade the site that hadn't had a major upgrade since 1999. The new site's features include personalized bill tracking, more detailed district maps and indexed video of committee meetings and floor sessions. The site also carries a new Web address: capitol.tn.gov. The 106th General Assembly convenes Tuesday.
