A Tennessee judge has given a new deadline for prosecutors and the defense to decide whether they will reach a negotiated plea deal in the case of a man charged with kidnapping, raping and killing Tennessee nursing student Holly Bobo.
News outlets report Judge C. Creed McGinley on Monday gave lawyers until Jan. 22 to reach an agreement in the case of John Dylan Adams. McGinley said if there's no plea by then, the case will move forward to trial. Adams is charged with kidnapping, raping and killing Tennessee nursing student Holly Bobo.
Bobo was 20 when she disappeared from her home in rural Parsons, Tennessee, on April 13, 2011. Her disappearance sparked a massive search. Her remains were found in September 2014 in woods not far from her home.
