Tennessee Judge Awards Big Sum

Montgomery County, Tennessee – Tennessee's Montgomery County Judge Ross Hicks awarded the state nearly 11-million-dollars from a lender accused of using unlawful lending practices against Fort Campbell soldiers. The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reports, Britlee (BRIT-lee) Inc., an agent of Rome Finance Co. Inc., actively sought out Fort Campbell soldiers to sell them computers at inflated prices. Nearly 9-million of the award is to go to restitution for consumers. (Leaf Chronicle)
