Team Assembled to Investigate Gatlinburg Fires

A fire review team in Tennessee will investigate the Gatlinburg fires that killed 14 people in November.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park Superintendent Cassius Cash told the Knoxville News Sentinel a team has been activated to review the forest fires that spread from the park into the tourism community. Cash said representatives from the Park Service, the U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and a fire chief will make up the team.

He expected the team will arrive within the next two weeks.
