Madisonville – Madisonville lost a darling last month at the passing of Glema Mahr. But her memory will live on in the contributions she made during her lifetime, and the legacy she left Hopkins County in her death. Glema didn't want a weepy memorial service. So this Sunday, the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts will host a celebration of her life. Jacque Day talked with several of her friends, and has this tribute.
The memorial celebration takes place 2 pm Sunday, December 13 at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts at the Madisonville. The open-to-the-public event includes performances by Christian Teal of the Blair String Quartet, jazz artist Jeff Steinberg, the MCC Singers and the Juggernaut Jug Band.
