Student Injured in Christian County School Bus Crash

Author: Mario Sánchez Prada, Wikimedia Commons

A Christian County School bus ran off the road this morning around 6:30 AM, injuring 1 of the 5 students on board.

The Kentucky State Police says the bus was traveling northbound on KY 109 when the bus driver dropped off the right shoulder and over-corrected, crossing the southbound lane and striking a tree. The injured student, an 18-year-old female, was transported to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center. No other injuries were reported.

Christian County Schools spokeswoman Heather Lancaster says the uninjured students were transported to school by another bus. An investigation is ongoing.
