State Closes Green River Ramp Due to Damaged Concrete

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has closed the Old Eastwood Ferry Boat Ramp on the Green River in Webster County because of damage to the concrete.

A recent drop in the river level exposed the damaged portion of the ramp which is known locally as the Sebree Boat Ramp.

The Sebree ramp is about 2 ½ miles east of Sebree. The damage includes broken concrete, exposed steel reinforcing bars and large holes.

The agency said it closed the ramp because of the public safety issue and is assessing repair options.

No timetable is set for the ramp's reopening.
