St. Nicholas Foundation Helps Working Uninsured, Holds Fundraiser this Weekend

stnickfoundation.org

The St. Nicholas Foundation, a program providing assistance to uninsured or underinsured working adults, will be hosting a "Picnic for St. Nick!" this weekend. Dr. Pat Withrow and St. Nick's Executive Director Rayla Bridges speak with Kate on Sounds Good to share more about the program and event.

For 20 years, the St. Nicholas Foundation has been working towards one mission: helping the working uninsured and underinsured afford healthcare.  The Foundation provides payment assistance to qualified individuals who need help paying health, vision and dental care, prescriptions and hearing aids.

As the Foundation operates entirely on private donations, fundraisers play a large role in keeping this program afloat.

This year, the program is hosting a "Picnic for St. Nick!" fundraiser. Hosting the party at his home, Dr. Pat Withrow says the event will be "a large time!" There will be a catered fish fry for dinner and activities including fishing, paddle boats, horse shoes and more.

The event will be held this Saturday, 6-9 p.m. for kids 21 and up. More information on tickets and registration can be found by calling the Foundation at 270-408-4828.
