Southern Calloway Standoff Ends Peacefully
By Carrie Pond
Murray, KY – A ten-and-a-half hour stand-off ended peacefully last night when officers arrested a man outside his southern Calloway County home. Kentucky State Police and the Calloway County Sheriff's department responded to a complaint of a verbal dispute between a husband and wife around noon yesterday. Authorities spoke with the woman outside her home, who told them Kenneth Holt had threatened her life and he had numerous weapons inside the residence. Over the course of the next ten and a half hours, officers attempted to contact Holt at his home through phone calls and public address. At approximately 10:30 p.m., Holt voluntarily exited and was placed under arrest. He is charged with third-degree Terroristic Threatening.
