Carbondale, IL – Southern Illinois University officials say the cost for storm repairs and clean-up at the Carbondale campus could top $5 million. Administrators say much of that total will go to fix broken windows and roof damage after the high winds ripped through campus earlier this month. Plant Service Operations Director Phil Gatton says at least a thousand healthy trees were lost in the storm.
