Severe Storms, Flash Flooding Across Region This Afternoon

Severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings are in effect as storms continue to move through the region this afternoon.

  • A flash flood warning in effect Obion, Weakley and Henry County until 6:15 p.m.
  • Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Obion, Henry and Weakley, Stewart, TN, until 5. moving southeast at 45 mph. Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts, quarter size hail.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the WKMS listening area until 9 tonight.
West Kentucky Rural Electric reported areas with power outages in Calloway, Carlisle, Graves and Marshall county. 85 reported outages. At least 2,404 western Ky homes affected.

Gibson EMC reports 19 outages affecting 1,010 members in Fulton, Hickman, Graves and Obion Counties.

A 20% chance of isolated showers tonight, lows around 74. Sunshine tomorrow, Friday and over the weekend.
