School Day Starts Later

By Angela Hatton

Hopkinsville, KY – The Christian County School Board has changed the district's school day. Under the new schedule, classes will begin 15 to 30 minutes later in the morning. District spokeswoman Regan Honeycutt says this will give students more time to sleep. It's also safer for bus-riding students who had been waiting for the bus in the dark. Classes at all elementary schools will begin at 7:30 and around 8:30 at the middle and high schools. The new start times won't affect the overall school day length.
