Murray, KY – Several events will be held today around the Purchase in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday. In Murray, the Woodmen of the World are holding an MLK breakfast at their office on Lowry Drive. Also in Murray, students will participate in a day of service until 5pm. In Paducah, the local chapter of the NAACP begins their celebration at 10:15 am with a march from the Robert Cherry Civic Center to the MLK Monument. A prayer breakfast in Henry County, Tennessee begins at the Quinn Chapel AME Church in Paris followed by a march to the local courthouse.
