Regional Members Reappointed to KY Human Rights Commission

kentucky.gov

Governor Steve Beshear has re-appointed two west Kentuckians to the Commonwealth’s Human Rights Commission.  Dr. Doris Sarr is the director of the Adventures in Math and Science program at Murray State University and has served on the commission since 2012.  Madisonville’s Timothy Thomas is a funeral director in Hopkinsville and serves as president of Kentucky State Crime-Stoppers Association.  Thomas has been on the commission since 2008.  Both Thomas’ and Sarr’s new term expires September 2017.

Todd Hatton hails from Paducah, Kentucky, where he got into radio under the auspices of the late, great John Stewart of WKYX while a student at Paducah Community College. He also worked at WKMS in the reel-to-reel tape days of the early 1990s before running off first to San Francisco, then Orlando in search of something to do when he grew up. He received his MFA in Creative Writing at Murray State University. He vigorously resists adulthood and watches his wife, Angela Hatton, save the world one plastic bottle at a time.
