Madisonville, KY – Hopkins County Human Society president Judy Lacy & area officials are squaring off over a new animal shelter & a volunteer-run website the county would like to build. Officials want to make it easier to adopt a pet & reduce the number of animals euthanized, some 79% in Hopkins County. Lacy, for her part, is dead set against the plan. Don Perryman is a reporter for The Madisonville Messenger, & he's been covering this story.
