The Murray State men’s basketball team will go for their 20th win in a row Thursday night at the CFSB Center against SIU-Edwardsville.
The Racers (21-4, 11-0 OVC) haven’t lost in two and a half months. That’s good enough for the second longest active winning streak in the nation, behind the undefeated Kentucky Wildcats.
A victory against SIU-E would make for only the second 20-game winning streak in program history. The team record is 23 wins in a row, set during the 2011-2012 season.
The Racers are currently ranked 31st in the nation in the latest AP Top 25 poll, receiving 20 votes.
Murray State is in the midst of its 28th winning season in a row. Only Syracuse, Kansas and Arizona have longer active streaks.
Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
