QuiltWeek Festivities in Paducah Wrap Up Saturday

The 31st annual QuiltWeek event in Paducah ends Saturday. Each year, thousands from the region and beyond gather to celebrate the craft.

Executive Show Director Bonnie Browning spoke with Kate Lochte on "Sounds Good" about how the week's gone so far and what to look forward to Friday and Saturday.

Browning says the event broke a record for attendance last year at over 32,000 people. She expects a new record by the week's end. Those festival-goers add up to serious revenue for the area; just this year, over 380 vendor booths were set up.

“This show, in one week, is a big shot in the arm for a lot of businesses in Paducah and all of Kentucky and southern Illinois," Browing said.

The event continues through tomorrow at Paducah's Convention and Expo Center. For more information, visit QuiltWeek's official web site here.
