Public Safety Summit
By Angela Hatton
Hopkinsville, KY – Hopkinsville and Christian county officials plan a Public Safety Summit this Saturday to discuss local crime rates. City Police Chief Guy Howie, Commonwealth's Attorney Lynn Pryor and others will take part in a panel discussion about county and city crime and take questions from attendees. Carter Hendricks is the Senior Vice President of Community and Military Affairs for the Hopkinsville-Christian County Chamber of Commerce. Hendricks says the summit is part of a city/county Community Vision Plan. He says officials hope the meeting will inform residents about real crime statistics and foster community involvement in the issue.
