Princeton Mulls Juvenile Curfew

By Chris Taylor

Princeton, KY – Princeton City Councilors will discuss a proposed juvenile curfew at a meeting next week. Resident Paul Ray suggested the measure at a previous meeting pointing to recent cases of vandalism and late-night fights among teens. Councilor Jim Joiner tells the Paducah Sun he and fellow members are only researching and discussing the idea at this point. Princeton Police Chief Don Weedman warns the measure is a complicated issue, which should be carefully considered and thought out. He says any proposed curfew would need to balance a person's constitutional rights, public safety, and how to enforce it.
