Presidential Candidates Named in Owensboro CTC Search

OCTC

There are three finalists to lead Owensboro Community and Technical College.

The new president will replace interim Larry Durrence who took office after former president James Klauber left last year to head Calhoun Community College in Alabama.

The candidates are current OCTC vice president Scott Williams,  Kentucky Community and Technical College interim vice chancellor Larry Ferguson and  Chattahooche Technical College Vice President William Rule.

The candidates have on-campus visits and interviews next week and will also meet with faculty, staff and the public at community forums.  Further information on the candidates and forum times and place is here.

The new president is expected to begin office in July.

Rob Canning is a native of Murray, KY, a 2015 TV Production grad of Murray State. At MSU, he served as team captain of the Murray State Rowing Club. Rob's goal is to become a screenwriter, film director or producer and looks to the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie for inspiration. He appreciates good music, mainly favoring British rock n' roll, and approves of anything with Jack White's name on it. When not studying, rowing or writing, Rob enjoys spending his free time with a book or guitar.
