Kentuckians dissatisfied with the major party candidates for president have two other options.  Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump will have some company on the November ballot.

Libertarian party nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein have qualified for the November 8th ballot in Kentucky.

The presidential campaigns submitted their petitions and filing fees to the Secretary of State’s Office earlier this week.

Johnson is a businessman and the former governor of New Mexico.  Stein is a physician and political activist.

Both ran for president in 2012, and this year, are polling in the single digits. Johnson and Stein will appear on the ballot in a majority of the states in November.

In order to get on the Kentucky ballot, they had to submit the signatures of 5,000 registered voters and pay a $500 filing fee.
