Big Sandy First Baptist Church is holding two prayer services for Sonny Melton, one of 58 killed in the Las Vegas shooting.
The prayer services will be held at the gazebo across from Big Sandy City Hall tonight at 4:00 and 7:00.
Preacher Daryl Lewis said the vigil is very much a community-organized event.
Melton was attending the Route 91 Harvest festival with his wife Heather. Melton was a registered nurse and an employee of Henry County Medical Center in Paris. His wife, Dr. Heather Gulish Melton, is an orthopaedic surgeon at Innovative Orthopedics and was not injured the attack.
The vigil will pray for Melton’s family and the other victims of the Las Vegas shooting.
