Police Chief Search Resumes

By Carrie Pond

Paducah, KY – The Paducah Board of Commissioners will decide between six prospective candidates for city Police Chief. The board has added two candidates to the pool, Chief of Police from Manchester, Connecticut James Berry and Assistant Chief from Juno Beach, Florida Robert Daniels. Berry and Daniels will come to Paducah later this month for a round of interviews with City staff and Commissioners. The other four candidates were among those previously under consideration for the position. Upon the interviews' completion, each Commissioner will then select a candidate out of the pool of six candidates to invite back for a second interview. The police chief search resumed after Chuck Baker of Commerce City, Colorado declined the City's offer of the position.
