Playhouse In The Park Hosts Bourbon Celebration

A Bourbon Benefit for the Playhouse In The Park, Facebook

Dan Lavit speaks with Austin Carter on Sounds Good about Playhouse in the Park’s second annual Bourbon Tasting fundraiser happening tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Murray Country Club.

Lavit says the theme of the night is Speakeasy. He says the cast of the current Playhouse show, Bonnie and Clyde, will provide entertainment as participants visit bourbon tasting stations.

The event features the bourbons of central Kentucky’s Wild Turkey Distillery and the moonshine of Marshall County’s Silver Trail Distillery.

A proud native of Murray, Kentucky, Allison grew up roaming the forests of western Kentucky and visiting national parks across the country. She graduated in 2014 from Murray State University where she studied Environmental Sustainability, Television Production, and Spanish. She loves meeting new people, questioning everything, and dancing through the sun and the rain. She hopes to make a positive impact in this world several endeavors at a time.
Austin Carter is a Murray State grad and has been involved with WKMS since he was in high school. Over the years he has been a producer for WKMS and has hosted several music shows, but now calls Morning Edition his home each weekday morning.
