Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, Facebook

The Pennyroyal Area Museum in Hopkinsville will undergo renovations and receive an updated exhibition space.

The Christian County Fiscal Court supplied funding for the project with around $1 million from the transient room tax.

REB Architects from Nicholasville, Kentucky, will be leading the renovation project. Flutter & Wow Museum Projects from Ann Arbor, Michigan, will design the new exhibition space.

The Pennyroyal Area Museum will close on Saturday, March 31st and is expected to reopen in the spring of 2019.

The museum is located at the old Post Office and has been the home of the museum since 1976. The building was built in the early 1910s.
