Pennyrile Garden Party Draws Dems

By Angela Hatton

Princeton, KY – Several high-ranking Kentucky Democrats will be in Princeton this Friday for the tenth annual Pennyrile Garden Party. The event is hosted at the home of State Representative Mike Cherry and Princeton Mayor Gale Cherry. Lieutenant Governor Daniel Mongiardo, Attorney General Jack Conway, and State Auditor Crit Luallen all plan to attend. Governor Steve Beshear won't be attending, but his 2012 running mate Jerry Abramson will be. The Democratic Executive Committees in the Pennryile region are sponsoring the free public event. Representative Cherry says the garden party helps attract political attention to the Pennyrile region before western Kentucky's annual Fancy Farm picnic.
