Paul touts U.S. Chamber endorsement

By Jacque Day

Kentucky – The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has not endorsed a U.S. Senate candidate. But Republican contender Rand Paul says, a series of U.S. Chamber of Commerce TV ads that aired across the state Wednesday means an endorsement for him from the nation's largest business group. The ads attack Democratic opponent Jack Conway, accusing him of backing Medicare cuts. The U.S. Chamber commercial doesn't mention Paul's name, but says Conway supports Medicare cuts that would affect 113,000 Kentucky seniors. During a news conference Wednesday, Paul announced the chamber had endorsed him and voiced his support for extending Bush-era tax cuts even without related spending cuts.
