Paris, TN – A Paris, Tennessee man has been charged with attempted murder and assault. 43-year-old Garland "Tony" Tharpe was arrested yesterday after an argument escalated at the home of his estranged wife. Tharpe allegedly stabbed a visitor at the residence in the chest. 21-year-old Caleb Sherrod was airlifted to Vanderbilt. A Henry County Sheriff's office spokesperson says he is still being treated. Tharpe also stabbed his wife's daughter, 20-year-old Amber Kelly, in the arm. Tharpe was arraigned today in Henry County Sessions Court and his bond is set at 250 thousand dollars.
