Paducah School of Art and Design Seeking Community Video Clips for Holiday Project

WKCTC

The Paducah School of Art and Design is partnering with the Paducah Power System to add a more visual element to the annual holiday display at Noble Park. PSAD Dean Paul Aho stopped by WKMS for a Sounds Good interview to explain the project.

PSAD students are working on something called projection mapping - a display of what are essentially video montages, made up of clips submitted by the community.

The work will be featured alongside the PPS's annual "Christmas In the Park" festivities; it'll run from Nov. 28 through Dec. 31.

Aho says he's excited to see what moments residents choose to share.

"We think this is a particularly timely and appropriate way for us to get the public involved in art," Aho said.

The PSAD is accepting clips through Nov. 16. Those with submissions can contact student Cody Arnall at cody.arnall@kctcs.edu. You can also call Paul Aho at (270) 408-4278.
