A McCracken County man died in an accident involving a lawnmower early Monday evening. McCracken County Sheriff’s Office reports 56-year-old James Airsman of Paducah had been driving the mower near the edge of a pond when the tire slipped, causing it to roll into the bank.
A witness located Airsman and pulled him out of the water. He was transported to Lourdes Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. An autopsy is pending.
Reidland Fire Department and Mercy Regional Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
