Paducah Power Marks Four Years Without Lost Time Accident

Paducah Power System

Paducah Power System is reporting four years without injuries to its crew resulting in lost work hours. The utility says they reached this safety milestone Monday.

In a news release, General Manager Gary Zheng says employees are exposed to many dangers and the achievement is a testament to their dedication to safety.

PPS employees attend regular safety meetings in individual departments and monthly meetings for crews working around specific types of equipment, along with special classes for fire extinguishing, first aid and workplace violence. All employees are certified in CPR and the use of defibrillators every two years.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007.
