The Paducah-McCracken County Development Authority is providing 20 free acres to an unidentified business in the I-24 Industrial Park.
The board approved the offer on Thursday. Park Chair Bob Johnston said the business wants to remain anonymous to not attract any attention.
He said the new development has the potential to bring more than 200 jobs to the area with an $81 million economic impact.
He said the business is looking at different sites in other states and plans to hold a meeting mid-summer to announce if Paducah has made the company’s ‘short list.’
The I-24 Industrial Park is home to several businesses, including H.T. Hackney Distribution, Genova Products, Coca-Cola Distribution and Whitehall Industries.
