The Paducah City Commission named Brandon Barnhill the Chief of Police yesterday. Barnhill is replacing James Berry, who resigned in August to take a position at Kentucky State University.
Barnhill was one of four internal candidates. He previously served as the Assistant Chief of Operations for the Paducah Police Department. He began his law enforcement career with the Murray Police Department in 1995 and transferred to Paducah in 1998. His position is effective Thursday.
