Paducah Commission to Consider Generator Study

By Chris Taylor

Paducah, KY – Paducah City Commissioners will consider a contract today to study emergency generators for several public buildings. The city hopes to purchase four generators through a FEMA and Kentucky Emergency Management grant. If awarded, the new generators would be installed at the Public Works Building, the city's IT and 911 Dispatch Building, the Parks Department, and the Police Department. A fifth generator, already owned by the city, would be moved from the dispatch building to Fire Station 3. The Paducah Sun reports the study should cost less than $40,000.
