Paducah, KY – Paducah City Commissioners last night voted 3-2 to accept City Manager Jim Zumwalt's resignation. Mayor Bill Paxton and Commissioner Gayle Kaler voted no. After meeting in executive session, commissioners approved a municipal order naming Finance Director Jonathan Perkins interim City Manager. Perkins says he's ready to go to work. In other commission news, Parks Services Director Mark Thompson says site preparation for the pavilion to be erected for the April Quilt Show is running one day ahead of schedule, with a concrete floor to be poured in about six days.
