Paducah, KY – A Paducah man now faces an arson charge after firefighters extinguished a blaze at his home over the weekend. Police allege 48-year-old Stephen Pelkey set fire to his Mohawk Drive home using gasoline in several locations. Police found a gas cap in the backyard with the fresh smell of fuel. Pelkey and his wife have denied involvement but police say inconsistencies in their stories and the forensic evidence says otherwise. His wife has not been charged as the investigation continues.
