Paducah, KY – City Commissioners have moved to accept a half-million dollars in state grant money that will go towards building almost another mile of the city's Greenway Trail. The trail already connects Stuart Nelson and Noble Parks and will eventually stretch to the Expo Center in downtown Paducah. The grant requires $200,000 in local funding and has been delayed by the commission for two years while the city and property owners worked out purchase prices. Commissioners also established an official naming panel of the city's upcoming sports park, which will be in charge of reviewing paid sponsorships and naming rights of the park and its athletic fields, shelters, playgrounds, and fishing piers.
