After 29 years at West Kentucky Community and Technical College, Gail Robinson Butler is retiring tomorrow from her position as Director of the Clemens Fine Arts Center. She stops by Sounds Good today to reminisce with Kate on her impactful career and many enjoyable experiences.

Gail finishes her career with a bang, releasing the Clemens Fine Arts 2015-16 Season lineup before entering the realm of retirement tomorrow.

The Clemens Fine Arts' 49th season includes The Time Jumpers, Quinn Sullivan, Wynonna & the Big Noise, Barrage 8 and Patty Griffin, Sara Watkins and Anais Mitchell. Describing it as her "legacy season," Gail says 2015-16 will be all about the music.

Her plans entering retirement are to continue working on and publish her book. With the current working title, "Growing Up Southern," her novel focuses on her parents and childhood.

Throughout her long and comprehensive career, Gail says her proudest achievement is a simple one.

"I have been able to do what I love," she says. "I think I've had a good, long run here. I've been able to consistently work doing what I love in my home town and make a living and make a difference to the arts in Paducah."
