Grand Rivers, KY – The state fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of a weekend fire at Green Turtle Bay Marina in Grand Rivers. No injuries were reported. Assistant Grand Rivers Fire Chief Mark Stiles says the fire destroyed 10 rental house-boats, a pier and some maintenance buildings at the marina.
Livingston County Emergency Operations Center Director Brent Stringer says firefighters cut burning rental boats from the pier where they were docked, but heavy winds pushed boats across the bay, igniting more boats.
