Paducah, KY – A former Paducah Assistant Police Chief will likely be McCracken County's next emergency management director. Paul Carter confirmed the fiscal court interviewed him for the position Wednesday. Carter was the only candidate interviewed for the position. Deputy Judge Executive Doug Harnice says a second finalist withdrew from consideration. The fiscal court is expected to hire Carter at their Monday meeting. The new director is expected to officially assume the role September 28th.
