New Distillery Locating in Muhlenberg Co.

A Western Kentucky-based company is investing $1.3 million in opening a distillery in Muhlenberg County, creating 31 jobs.

Pond River Enterprises will locate its distillery in the historic Graham School, which served as an educational facility from 1933 to 2004. The company aims to begin distillation by November 2016 and be open to visitors by January 2017. The distillery will be a new stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour.

Since the beginning of 2014, Kentucky brewers and distillers have announced $581 million dollars’ worth of expansion and new location investments that will create 551 new jobs.

A proud native of Murray, Kentucky, Allison grew up roaming the forests of western Kentucky and visiting national parks across the country.
