New Details Coming for Downtown Paducah Hotel

Details about a new hotel coming to downtown Paducah will be announced Tuesday at at 4:45 at City Hall. The hotel, which is expected to be open by June 1, 2015, will have at least 120 rooms, a restaurant and bar and will be connected to the Julian M. Carroll Convention Center. 

The city is providing the land, and $900,000 for non-hotel improvements, including a pedestrian bridge and parking, according to Paducah Riverfront Development Authority Executive Director Steve Doolittle. Of this $900,000, $500,000 is to be repaid to the city within 20 years. 

David Puckett and Todd Clark, of Louisville, and Senate Hospitality Group of Nashville are developing the hotel project. 

The city is also providing a $300,000 safety net for the hotel for the first five years of business, which, if used, is to be repaid as well.
