Clarksville, TN – Plans for a new $4.8 million terminal at Outlaw Field in Clarksville, Tennessee are moving forward. Airport officials yesterday voted to have a Nashville engineering firm draw up construction plans so the project could be ready to accept bids by the end of February. The airport intends to fund the project with a $3 million commerce grant and some local matching funds. The Clarksville Leaf Chronicle describes the current, 1960's-era facility as a community embarrassment. Officials hope the new terminal will help foster industrial development in Montgomery County.
