Following a national search, Murray State University has named its new Vice President of Marketing and Outreach. Dr. Adrienne King will begin her duties on September 1, pending approval of the board of regents.
King is the current director of marketing and communications at Idaho State University and has served in similar leadership positions at West Virginia University Institute of Technology and the University of Charleston.
"Murray State is an exceptional university with a great story to tell," King said. "I look forward to working with the campus community as we craft the university's story, sharing the great work of our alumni, faculty, staff and students."
King earned her doctor of education and masters in integrated marketing communications from West Virginia University. Her bachelor's degree in public relations and graphic design is from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
